SCE PATHWAYS COURSE GUIDE 2012

Sydney College of English (SCE)
offers direct entry to a wide range of Universities, colleges
and vocational
institutions such as TAFE’s, business colleges and local and
national Universities. Graduation from SCE’s English for
Academic Purposes Courses facilitates acceptance into your choice
of Graduate and Post Graduate Degrees,
Certificates, Diploma or Advance Diploma programs.

The College
- Located minutes from Central train station
and major bus routes in the heart of downtown Sydney

- UTS - University of Technology
- Sydney TAFE

including 35 classrooms, 16 and 20 station computer laboratories,
language laboratory, study centre and library, student lounges and

The Courses
ADULT ENGLISH PROGRAMME
- Courses include
General English, IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC Preparation, Business English,
Australian Life, Speaking Effectively, Media Studies, Cambridge (First
Certificate, Advanced and Proficiency), English for Academic Purposes
(EAP), Preparation for EAP and High School Preparation.
- A truly international
environment with SCE having successfully taught students from over
50 countries since 1987.
HIGH SCHOOL PREPARATION
- Comprehensive 'fast
track' High School Preparation programme for students 12 years old
and over taught by accredited E.F.L. teachers qualified to also teach
in Australian high schools.
- Intensive 30 hour per week course at
four levels (unique to SCE).

Tertiary Pathways
EAP 1, EAP 2, EAP 3/ ARTICULATIONS
- The course teaches the skills that students need in order to perform
well at university, vocational education colleges and TAFE.
- The courses
can be studied together with IELTS, TOEFL or TOEIC Preparation courses
to provide a solid foundation for success with further study.
- EAP
courses provide the opportunity for students to enter a variety of
academic pathways at selected partner institutions.
